Members of the Golden Grove Remand Prison Debate team joined Ms. Debbie Jacob, President of the Wishing for Wings Foundation, as she received a cheque from ANSA McAL’s Group Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Sharon Balroop.
ANSA McAL was pleased to sponsor copies of Debbie Jacob’s book titled, Making Waves: How the West Indies Shaped the US for participants of the Trinidad and Tobago Prisons' Inter-Station Debates at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) on September 19th, 2018.
ANSA McAL commends Ms. Jacobs for her unyielding commitment and selflessness in assisting inmates with turning their lives around through education. Both Ms Jacob and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service continue to work towards the shift away from the retributive to the rehabilitative.
Hello, Ms in Jacobs,
I live in the USA and I will like to be a part of your Prison Reform programme by shipping books to you to help build the prison Libraries. I started to help build school libraries years ago and my first school was St Margaret's Boys school in Belmont. I was about to do the same for the girls and due to unforseen circumstances, I had to stop. However, I have given away hundreds of to books to homeless shelters here in the US and other organizations.
Please let me know if it's possible that I can become a coorporative component in your compassionate, altruistic and generous ventures.
Thank you.
